How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

As our new Lead Ports & Marine Engineer, you’ll be a pivotal part of the Ports, Marine & Coastal Team, steering the transformation in the way we design and execute maritime projects with deep technical expertise. Your role will include:

  • Foreseeing our clients' future needs and co-creating innovative solutions that breathe life into ideas.
  • Leveraging your expertise to oversee and explain the application of designs to meet project and client needs, validating engineering calculations, design specifications, and other design submittals.
  • Adding substantial value across the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design to detailed design, while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
  • Working with a diverse team and other disciplines to cultivate innovative solutions and bring ideas to fruition, valuing the different perspectives and skills each member brings.
  • Ensuring projects adhere strictly to industry regulations and best practices, safeguarding client interests and upholding the highest standards of work.
  • Collaborating closely with the team to translate client and project requirements into operational assets vital to sectors such as mining, renewable energy, defence, and trade, leveraging the group's diverse expertise and perspectives.

As well as experience in a similar Lead Marine Engineering role or capacity. Specifically:

  • A Civil or Structural Engineering degree coupled with experience in Maritime Engineering.
  • A proven track record of innovative problem-solving, showcasing a dedication to continuous learning and development.
  • Experience in fostering collaboration within diverse teams, nurturing innovative solutions, and valuing varied perspectives and skill sets.
  • A dedication to surpassing client expectations through exceptional service, aiming to secure repeat business.
  • Hands-on experience ensuring project adherence to industry standards and regulations, upholding the highest standards of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently handle design work, delivering quality outcomes in a timely manner, showcasing a deep understanding and mastery of your field.
  • Exceptional writing skills to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, conveying essential information concisely.
