The Opportunity 

We are searching for a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. Reporting to our Director of Engineering, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our core software platform. Your role will ensure the platform is robust, scalable, and secure. You will collaborate closely with our software development, data, and product teams to drive success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Development: Design, implement, and manage scalable, high-performance, and secure platform services with resilience in mind.
  • Healthcare Compliance: Partner with Found’s legal and security teams to ensure the platform is compliant with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Infrastructure Management: Automate cloud and application infrastructure and document infrastructure resilience plans.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Set up comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to maintain platform health and performance.
  • Security Management: Partner with Found’s security team to protect sensitive patient data and prevent breaches.
  • Developer Enablement: Collaborate with software development teams to create frustration-free release processes.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for platform architecture, processes, and policies.

What You Bring

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related areas.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    • Proficiency with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Strong programming skills in languages such as Typescript, Go, or Rust.
    • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools (Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible).
    • Experience with CI/CD Tools (CircleCI, Github Actions).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulations.
  • Proven understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
