Job Description:

Senior Associate, Corporate Accounting (12m FTC) 

 

As an integral member of the Accounting Team, the Senior Associate, Corporate Accounting, will assist with the full accounting cycle, ensuring application of sound accounting principles/practices. The candidate must be very hands-on, detail oriented, and have strong organization and communication skills. 

 

This role will report into the Corporate Finance Manager (EMEA) on a day-to-day basis. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare quarterly management reporting and Board reporting. 
  • Perform month end close including journal preparation and posting. 
  • Perform the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and P&L variance analysis. 
  • An ability to identify and proactively resolve issues within the general ledger. 
  • Prepare the statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors for both domestic and foreign audits as necessary. 
  • Keep abreast of current and upcoming changes in UK/Irish GAAP. 
  • Support development of new reports utilising relevant data sources to inform the business. 
  • Prepare financial regulatory data for the EMEA region. 
  • Prepare tax data for the EMEA region. 
  • Support with other general accounting projects, month-end close work and ad-hoc projects as needed. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience working in an accounting position within the asset/wealth management industry. 
  • Qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA). 
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle EBS or another comparable enterprise accounting software suite, is preferred. 
  • Detail-oriented and displays high level of accuracy, precision and ownership in their work. 
  • Proven prioritization, time management and, where applicable, project management skills.
  • Self-motivated, outcome driven, prefers to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. 
  • Positive attitude, with a natural willingness to support the team.
  • Intellectually curious about what is going on in the team and business.
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority, across a number of different departments. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
