BBR Partners’ Wealth Strategies team serves as a centralized, specialized resource to help ensure clients receive thoughtful, coordinated, and forward-looking advice across their most consequential financial decisions. The team is grounded in a strong foundation of tax-aware planning, recognizing that tax considerations are a key driver of many complex wealth decisions and an essential lens through which broader strategies are evaluated.

Within that framework, BBR takes a holistic, family office-style approach—supporting clients and advisors across a wide range of interconnected issues, including trust and estate planning, insurance and risk management, lending and liquidity, and coordination with external advisors.

We are seeking a Vice President, Wealth Strategies to serve as a wealth strategist with a primary focus on individual income tax planning operating horizontally across client teams. This role is fundamentally a tax planning role, with additional involvement in insurance, lending, and other wealth management and financial planning functions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Team Support

  • Serve as a subject matter expert to client coverage teams on complex tax and planning matters
  • Ensure client teams deliver high level and effective advice on tax and other planning topics
  • Partner closely with Client Advisors to identify issues, develop strategies, and prepare for client engagements
  • Review client materials and third-party analyses to highlight key considerations, tradeoffs, and risks
  • Elevate the consistency and quality of planning delivered across the firm

Direct Client & Strategic Engagement

  • Help frame and advance discussions across tax, insurance, liquidity, lending and risk related matters
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance for clients and advisors
  • As appropriate, participate in client and prospective client meetings as a senior planning resource

External Advisor Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external accountants, insurance advisors, and other service providers, maintaining and curating a list of preferred providers for firm clients
  • Manage client referral requests and suggest introductions to ensure client needs are met

Internal Education, Content Creation & Platform Development

  • Partner with internal teams to develop educational materials for clients and prospects
  • Curate and generate internal content delivery and updates
  • Educate and mentor internal client advisors on tax concepts, keeping them informed about new laws, client updates and best practices.
  • Develop internal training sessions and presentations

Qualifications

  • CPA with a strong foundation in tax planning and preparation for Ultra High Net worth families
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in tax planning and wealth management, with working knowledge of planning techniques and structures related to UHNW clients (life insurance planning, property & casualty coordination, lending and mortgage structuring etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple advisors and disciplines
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment
  • Proven relationship builder
  • Problem solving and creative idea generation is highly valued for this role

Additional Information

Base salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple reasons, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The expected base salary for the role will generally be between $130,000 and $170,000 per year at the commencement of employment, but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on these reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, base salary is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses, alternative incentive packages, commission eligibility, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
