Description
If you are an experienced Procurement or Supply Chain Professional, looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Copeland locations in the US and Mexico, you will develop commodity strategies for Corporate Services across all Copeland locations globally, control costs and identify new savings opportunities, ensure supplier performance, as well as align procurement activities with the overall business objectives.
As the Senior Commodity Manager, you will:
Independently develop and execute category strategies for corporate services spend functions (excl. IT), ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder priorities
Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including RFPs, supplier negotiations, contracting, and implementation. Execute implementation of complex programs
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance and Engineering (incl. board level) to align sourcing solutions with business needs
Identify cost savings, trade working capital improvements and value creation opportunities through supplier consolidation, demand management, and contract renegotiations
Manage supplier relationships and performance, including SLAs, KPIs, and regular business reviews
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and relevant legal, ethical, and risk requirements
Track and report on savings initiatives, contract coverage, and sourcing pipeline activity
Monitor market trends, pricing benchmarks, and innovation in corporate services to inform sourcing strategies
Support process optimization and build standard work for Indirect Spend Management
Required education, experiences & skills:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experiences in lieu of the degree
7+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain management or related areas
Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies
Category experience in Indirect required
Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, supplier relationship management and supply chain technologies
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, assess risk, and drive strategy in a structured manner
Strong senior stakeholder skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team
Ability to travel domestically (5-10%)
Preferred education, experiences & skills
Corporate Services procurement experience strongly preferred
