Quantitative Analytics Intern, Role Overview

Cboe Europe is looking for a summer intern to work in European Cash Equities Execution Consulting Team.  The internship will provide direct exposure to decision-makers and senior leaders on the business side.  The internship offers the opportunity to be a part of a company that is growing market share in an increasingly competitive environment.  This is a chance to work with a team that is passionate about continual learning, improvement and raising the bar. 

Responsibilities

• Apply quantitative methods and modelling to transaction and market data for Cboe European Equities business
• Extract actionable insights from trading data to advise on the Cboe product strategy
• Assist with researching European Equities market microstructure and publish industry notes on findings
• Conduct TCA reviews with clients and advise them on optimum ways to use Cboe execution products
• Propose ideas on improvement of client experience with Cboe products via data driven methodologies
• Build ad-hoc reports/dashboards, and data sources that support product and business units in understanding trading behaviour, evaluating market quality, Cboe’s competitive position and quantifying impact of fee changes

Qualifications

• Undertaking a bachelor’s degree or higher. Academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Statistics is preferred
• Advanced knowledge working with large datasets
• Experience in Python and SQL for data analysis
• Some experience in data visualization tools (Tableau or other similar data visualization tools)
• Self-starter attitude; ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to commute to London office location
