THE ROLE

Artist management firm seeking a dynamic candidate to support our marketing team in the planning, creative development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives during album and tour cycles. Digital Marketing Coordinators build off the creative vision and strategic goals for the project, by drafting and managing social media calendars, building out digital activations and producing creative. The position sits within Vector’s cross-functional marketing team, which provides in-house capabilities such as label services, event management (experiential and activation), photo & video content (creation, production and programming), social media management , DSP relations, analytics, direct to consumer campaigns, e-commerce, merchandising, business development (licensing, promotional & sponsorship) tour marketing and VIP programming.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Contribute to and work to fully u8ndersatnd strategic plan for album/tour; ideate and plan promotional drivers; create elements that bring the plan to life across key marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing team, artists and managers to develop social and content plans focused on brand/community building, new music and live events.
  • Develop creative assets for multi-channel campaigns optimized for each platform (social media, DSPs, ad networks, etc.).
  • Graphic Design
    • Develop, design or edit still or animated graphics, logos, album creative elements, social graphics, direct marketing materials, advertising and other promotional materials.
  • Video editing of short form and promotional content
    • Assembling raw footage to follow a trend, script, outline or treatment
    • Utilize popular transition effects, on screen text/graphic best practices, use of trending sounds
  • Copywriting
    • Copywriting on behalf of artists and organize posting schedule via Notion calendar
  • Research and monitor industry, lifestyle and social trends across all digital platforms

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Hands-on understanding of marketing channels with an emphasis on social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Understanding of the importance of UGC content and how to use artist channels to encourage new UGC creates
  • Wide breadth of knowledge about best practices for social platforms (with emphasis on short form channels) and the everchanging landscape
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Translate marketing & strategic plans into bespoke posts tailored to each platform
  • Perceptive understanding of an artist’s voice and creative vision; develop assets and execute strategic objectives that bring that overarching vision to life.
  • Aptitude to think creatively, outside the box and to tie different promotional elements of a marketing campaign together.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and revision requests; providing creative solutions that meet expectations.
  • Tech savvy command of project management software (Monday/Asana), business software (Microsoft Office suite) and cloud-based software (Google Docs/Drive, Dropbox, Box, Zoom, Notion etc..)
  • Proficiency with creative software – Full Adobe Creative Suite
  • Graphic design: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.
  • Video editing: Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Inclusive, flexible, focused, diplomatic, calm and collected attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstration of discretion in handling confidential data and dealing with high-level artists and industry executives
