Website Content & SEO Lead | Web Strategy | SEO/AEO | Content Governance | Digital Experience Optimization

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa (Hybrid/Onsite)

World Kinect is expanding its global digital marketing capabilities, and this role is central to elevating the quality, structure, and search performance of our corporate website. As the Website Content & SEO Lead, you will own the strategy, governance, and execution of web content and SEO best practices across our global web ecosystem. You will work across marketing, content, technology, analytics, and UX teams to ensure the website delivers a high‑quality experience, is optimized for search visibility, and supports business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of SEO/AEO/GEO growth strategies that significantly enhance visibility and demand across regional and local search markets.
  • Own the website content strategy, structure, publishing workflows, and content governance to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment to brand standards.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand tone, user journeys, and business goals; incorporate customer and stakeholder feedback.
  • Lead SEO/AEO/GEO on-site optimisation across web properties, including keyword research, on‑page optimization, page layout, link building, and technical SEO.
  • Partner with developers to implement schema, improve site speed, enhance mobile responsiveness, and support technical performance.
  • Provide training and guidance to marketing and content teams on SEO and web publishing best practices.
  • Act as the primary owner for site maintenance, hosting relationships, access management, content audits, and performance reporting.
  • Stay current on SEO, AEO, GEO, and digital experience trends; monitor analytics and deliver insights for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder for CMS enhancements, re‑platforming, backlog prioritization, and web tool adoption.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in CMS management, SEO strategy, website maintenance, and content operations.
  • Experience with platforms such as Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, or Optimizely; comfortable with HTML/CSS and technical SEO.
  • Advanced proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Business Profiles, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Moz, or similar.
  • Experience with analytics tools (GA4, Looker Studio, HubSpot, HotJar, Adobe Analytics).
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a focus on UX and digital storytelling.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to train and influence non‑technical teams.
