Job Description

The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Non Invasive Cardiology, Assistant/Associate/Professor, Department of Internal Medicine.

Role of the Position

The Department of Internal Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position in noninvasive Cardiology at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Responsibilities will include patient care in the outpatient setting, supervision and interpretation of diagnostic studies, as well as supervision and teaching of Cardiology Fellows, Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students.  The training programs are affiliated with the University Medical Center (UMC) of Southern Nevada, and offer a comprehensive mix of inpatient and ambulatory teaching experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate must have an M.D. or D.O. degree and successfully completed an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency training, and an ACGME accredited Cardiology Fellowship training. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Cardiology prior to the start date.

Candidates must be able to possess and maintain a Nevada State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA License.  Nevada medical license must be obtained prior to the start date, malpractice coverage meeting credentialing requirements and must be able to obtain privileges at the University Medical Center (UMC) and other site locations as needed. Finalists may be subject to a background check.
