This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative professional to help drive the advancement of our Software Lifecycle through strategic consulting. Dematic Corp. is looking for a Senior Software Consultant in any of our Dematic locations across North America, to work alongside a distributed team.

The successful candidate will have five or more years of experience in industry verticals, e.g., retail strategy, e-commerce, supply chain, material handling, software, or an optimization-related field. In this role, the Software Consultant will:

Work with cross-functional stakeholders such as business development, marketing, solution development, sales, and aftermarket services to develop opportunities with high-potential customers throughout the entire software lifecycle. Analyze the customer’s business information, pain points, and requirements and convert them into winning sales strategy with the sales and solutions development teams. Validate the merit of designs through financial analysis, co-developing persuasive value points particular to the identified customer needs. Identify areas of continuous improvement for the solution with an eye on software capabilities & integration with customers

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $82,000-$166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.


 

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will do in This Role:

The Senior Software Consultant will engage with Dematic customers to analyze their business, turning them into innovative solutions.

  • Ability to think outside the box to position and assist in the strategy to sell a wide range of solutions, from manual to fully automated solutions.
  • Influence Sales, Business Development, Software COE, Software Application Engineering, Product Management, and R&D groups to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to software implementation across organizational boundaries.
  • Collaborate on outcomes-based sales playbook collateral and other enablement materials.
  • Thoughtfully address key opportunities, key account growth, and expansion of customer offerings.
  • Operate with a positive and iterative problem-solving attitude.
  • Support the front-end processes of prospecting, qualifying, and developing proposal documents and presentation material using an outcomes-based approach.
  • Provide technical guidance to the customer regarding their software and digital landscape, integration strategy, and solution package (products and services) that will position them for long-term success and is aligned with their enterprise-level Digital Transformation objectives.
  • Skilled in using evaluation techniques ranging from simple "pros and cons" to sophisticated Return on Investment (ROI) calculations.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Typically BS/BA in a related discipline or advanced degree (CS, Computer Engineering), where required. Experience in lieu of degree also considered.
  • Thorough understanding of material handling technology & software landscape.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Energized by a collaborative approach to work.
  • Typically 5-10 years of successful experience working in retail strategy, e-commerce, supply chain, material handling, software, system architecture, or an optimization-related field and has successfully demonstrated the key responsibilities as presented above.
  • Travel availability between 15-20%.
  • Strong understanding of material handling software ecosystems
  • Experience and understanding of Digital Transformation initiatives and/or prior software consulting background
  • Strong innovative and creative thinking, as evidenced in individual work
