Education:

Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree or PharmD

POSITION SUMMARY:   

This is a full time, work from home, position offering 40 hours a week. Schedule will be Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm, based on the needs of the business, hours may vary. No weekends, no holidays and no on call requirement.

This critically important role is responsible for the development and tracking of clinical, quality and safety programs, communication of these programs to internal colleagues and customers, dedicated to enabling better health outcomes of the residents we serve, retention and expansion of existing business, and are the key point of contacts for driving customer satisfaction regarding quality services.  This role will report to the Executive Director, Omnicare Clinical Quality. Strong collaboration with leaders in Operations, Sales, Account Management, and Human Resources is required to deliver sustainable results.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Under the direction of the Executive Director, Clinical Quality LTC, the Senior Manager will have the opportunity to impact our business in the following ways:

  • Create and communicate impactful policy updates (internally and externally facing), tools and forms to colleagues and customers.
  • Detect and analyze trends and data related to patient safety and quality.
  • Support Regional/District clinical teams, assisting in keeping client facilities in compliance with applicable pharmaceutical services and quality-based federal and state requirements, thus achieving retention goals and expansion targets, while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Partner with operations leadership to identify opportunities for efficiencies in non-sterile compounding processes and manage standardized non-sterile compounding templates to maintain compliance with USP <795> standards.
  • Support pharmacies in preparation for regulatory audits (Board of Pharmacy and VPP), assist in the development on responses to findings and corrective action plans.
  • Support Regional/District teams responsible for helping the facility obtain and maintain quality within pharmaceutical services that support residents’ healthcare needs, goals, and quality of life that are consistent with current standards of practice.
  • Develop strategies, present recommendations, and implement innovative clinical and operational solutions related to patient safety and quality, to improve overall line of business performance.
  • Develop and support enterprise-wide projects in collaboration with Senior Leadership.
  • Project management for both clinical and operational projects and activities.
  • Operate with strong prescription utilization management, business acumen and industry knowledge, considering all aspects of the CVS Health Enterprise in strategy development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record of success in leadership of remote teams in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and break down highly complex situations to deliver impactful solution in real time; track record of proactively tackling issues in a decisive manner, while keeping broader organizational dynamics in mind.
  • Track record of performing under pressure, adapting to changing dynamics, and finding solutions that lead to client and colleague satisfaction.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence while tailoring messaging to different audiences, combining executive presence with ability to inspire colleagues and clients.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different business functions, different perspectives, and different styles of leadership.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading using CVS Health Leadership Competencies.
  • Ability to travel, up to 25%.
  • Past industry-related experience preferred.
  • Bachelor degree of Pharmacy, Pharm.D. preferred.

Preferred Experience:

-Long term care experience

-Understanding of pharmacy regulations and the pharmacy audit process

-Understanding of Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) State Operations Manual Appendix PP regulations and the LTC facility survey review process

-Understanding of a Patient Safety Organization (PSO) and work to support patient safety associated with a PSO.

-Experience with implementation of standards

-Experience with writing and implementation of policy related to pharmacy services

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$110,467.50 - $237,930.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
