Job Summary:

As the Manager, Data Platform you will be responsible for leading a team who oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the organization's data and analytics infrastructure. In this position, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities to leverage data and analytic solutions to address business challenges and achieve strategic initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the data platform team by sharing specialized data and analytics knowledge, providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and guidance, and assisting others collaboratively to achieve team and individual success

  • Build and manage the Data Platform team, oversee workload distribution, track progress, and monitor overall team performance to ensure deliverables and goals are met

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s data platform, including connections to source systems, databases, data warehouses, and data lakes

  • Lead the design and architecture of the organization’s data platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance to meet current and future business needs

  • Define data models, schemas, and architectures that support efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval across databases, data warehouses, and data lakes

  • Establish procedures and processes for the ongoing maintenance and optimization of the data platform, including routine backups, updates, and performance tuning

  • Contribute to and oversee data governance policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of the organization’s data assets

  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data and analytics technology.
