The Opportunity

This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL location in the Cardiometabolic and Informatics Division within Abbott Rapid Diagnostics.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Microsoft Data Analyst to join our Global Marketing & Commercial Execution team. The ideal candidate will specialize in Excel and Power BI / Fabric, with a strong focus on Power Query and DAX programming. This role will support our Commercial Execution and Demand Planning initiatives, ensuring data-driven decision-making and strategic execution.

What You’ll Work On

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports using Power Query & DAX programming.

    • Perform complex data analysis in Excel to support business decisions.

    • Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

    • Design Power BI Semantic Models using best practices leveraging data from Microsoft Azure and Fabric Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.

  • Demand Planning:

    • Assist in forecasting and demand planning activities by providing accurate data analysis.

    • Monitor inventory levels and sales forecasts to ensure optimal stock levels.

    • Identify and address discrepancies between forecasted and actual demand.

    • Assist in creating presentations using PowerPoint to communicate demand planning insights and recommendations.

  • Commercial Execution:

    • Analyze sales and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

    • Support the regional Commercial Excellence teams with data insights to drive strategic initiatives.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance commercial execution and performance.

  • Data Management:

    • Ensure data quality and consistency across all reporting platforms.

    • Maintain documentation for data models, reports, and processes.

    • Design and maintain row-level data security access by domestic and international regions.

    • Manage manual data input process using Microsoft Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Assist Data Analytics Lead to develop enterprise commercial and demand planning dashboards/reports.

    • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.

    • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders.

    • Train and support team members in using Power BI and Excel for data analysis.

    • Conduct data analysis testing and validations with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Proven experience with DAX programming and creating complex data models.

  • 3 or more years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on Excel and Power BI.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables.

  • Expertise in Power BI, including Power Query, and report or dashboard creation.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of commercial excellence and demand planning principles.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.

  • Experience in commercial excellence and demand planning business units.

  • Experience in building Microsoft Power Apps.

  • Knowledge of SQL and other data analysis tools.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, CRM, ERP systems and data integration.

  • 5 or more years of experience in a similar role.

The base pay for this position is

$83,000.00 – $166,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
