Job Description:

We currently have an opportunity to join our Erskine team as a UNIX Compliance Co-ordinator. Roles in this Job Family design, solution, deploy, migrate, manage, and change infrastructure services, End User Services across all related technologies. Including but not limited to servers, storage, mainframe, networks, AD, SAP basis, public clouds, private clouds, datacenter technologies, containers, middleware, DBs, Modern Device Management, Intelligent Collaboration, IT (HW&SW) Asset Management Services, Field Services and Technical Service Desk

Description

  • Scheduling – Create and manage monthly patch schedules across multiple accounts and platforms. 
  • Reporting – Provide Monthly Patch Reports and Data Packs on Patching Status which are then delivered internally and to the client.
  • Patch Management – Management of the monthly Patch Cycle, providing schedule and details of patches to be deployed to the estate.
  • Critical Now Deployment – Manage and schedule CN Deployments when required, currently once a month
  • MOD Cert Deployment – Understand the Security Risk and provide a solution through Patching, provide reporting and evidence that Certification has been achieved.
  • Trending and Analysis – Using Monthly reports and other data analyse areas of improvement such as Automation or providing guided actions to reduce overall outage times.
  • Server Acceptance – Manage Servers through ORR which includes FOT and producing Run Books
  • Trouble shooting – Remediation and Management of Problems.  Preparing precise data and information so Incidents or Problem records can be created.
  • Incident and Problem Management – Ensuring Incidents and Problems are actioned throughout the Business to ensure resolution takes place.
  • Major Incident Management – Any issues pertaining to patching are managed correctly through the Major Incident Management process.

  • Experience of working within a 24x7 Operations Environment (not essential)
  • Practised in reducing effort and costs and increasing efficiency and results
  • Proven Ability to manage and motivate teams
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • An ability to build rapport and trust quickly with both colleagues and clients
  • Able to prioritise tasks and workloads
  • Track record of successfully delivering results within strict timescales
