Job Summary

Job Description

The Supervisor, Inventory Control is responsible for ensuring adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained, evaluate inventory needs, improve capacity planning, inventory efficiency and implement strategies to meet those needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track product inventories, perform internal audits, out-of-cycle testing, and provide direction on work in process, finished goods and aged inventories to assure inventory integrity and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Document variances, schedule and prioritize the daily activities including cycle counts, adjustments, audits, damaged material management, reclassifications, expired materials, and waste tracking/disposal.
  • Lead all processes for annual year-end physical inventory and reconciliation of variances.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to ensure that company objectives are met in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost and profitability
  • Collaborate with Purchasing Manager, Operations, and Product Management, and other functional areas to achieve desired service levels
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning and inventory control processes. Maintain and report monthly KPI’s metrics, analytics to improve delivery, schedule attainment/compliance with Operations, stock fill, and inventory.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives identifying and analyzing root cause and suggest alternative solutions for inventory management process, space reductions, and information flow.
  • Direct training, coaching and direction regarding departmental processes and procedures to improve department inventory management functions and assuring a safe work environment.
  • Oversee the development of associates by ensuring they are cross trained with ability to support other teams, understand SOP’s, department safety measures, provided proper tools to do their jobs, and can contribute to the department and total operation.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-4 years of experience
