This is a full-time, continuing position with salary in the range $73,072.86 - $77,476.66 (HEW 4), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

Based at our St Lucia campus
As a Library Services Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting UQ's students and academics. You will work primarily within the Client Experience team, providing essential services and contributing to the success of the Library's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Services and Collection team. This diverse role offers the opportunity to work across various areas within the Library, adapting to changing service demands.
Key responsibilities will include:
Primary
Provide information and advice to students and staff including appropriate referrals when relevant. Support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Services and Collection Team with projects.
Assist with the development and maintenance of library documentation and reports. Support team members, including training and workflow coordination. Resolve routine and non-routine issues.
Contribute to the improvement of library systems, processes, and procedures. Participate in change initiatives and collaborate with colleagues on team goals and projects.
Perform additional duties as directed, consistent with the skills and knowledge up to HEW level 4.
Secondary
Providing high quality printing/copying services.
Digitize materials, process orders, and manage the lifecycle of information resources, including learning resources, eSpace content, and print materials.
Create, edit, and maintain library and institutional records, including metadata.
Please note:-
Occasional evening, weekend and/or roster work may be required.
This role involves some lifting and upper body work for shelving activities.

Combination of relevant experience in service delivery and education.
Proficiency in various software applications and library management systems.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and take initiative.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborate with colleagues, and provide excellent customer service.
