Key Responsibilities:

Development & execution of marketing plans for key brands (Surgical Implantable):           

  • Collate insights from sales team, customer and market place.
  • Segment and analyse monthly sales data to drive strategy and monitor strategy effectiveness.
  • Lead with influence among the sales team, sales managers and key accounts team to ensure marketing and sales strategies are executed appropriately and effectively.

Design sales acceleration proposals:       

  • Identify opportunities in key brands that could be accelerated through other products within Alcon’s wider portfolio.
  • Design and structure customer offering and campaigns that demonstrate the ability to capitalize on the upside opportunities whilst protecting the total profitability of the combined portfolios.

Development of sales and customer facing materials:    

  • Adapt global material to be appropriate to the local market.
  • Custom design materials as required.
  • Collaborate with medical affairs and regulatory affairs to ensure all materials are meeting the needs and objectives of the sales and marketing team whilst being balanced, referenced and compliant with the MTAA guidelines.

KOL development and management:    

  • Work with existing KOLs to develop educational content for sales material, podium presentations, Alcon and third party events.
  • Identify competitor aligned KOLs as well as up and coming HCPs.
  • Develop and execute engagement strategies to increase Alcon advocacy within these healthcare professionals.

Monitor and manage administration requirements including but not limited to:             

  • Management of budgets and invoices
  • Monitoring of marketing material approvals
  • Monitoring of S&OP and product inventory
  • Management of compliance and regulatory paperwork associated with HCP engagements.    

Education/Qualifications:

Minimum/Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: MBA

Skills/ Experience:

Minimum/Essential:

  • Analytical skills – must be able to demonstrate the ability to segment data and insights for marketing strategy.  Proficiency in excel would be an advantage.
  • Customer focused – the ability to link technical and clinical data into patient centric messaging
  • Business acumen – able to demonstrate value in both financial terms as well as clinical
  • Proven experience working in sales or working closely with a sales team to deliver on operational objectives.
  • Ability to work in a face-paced environment with a high level of accountability
  • Marketing – 2+ years’ marketing experience within medical devices is preferred however applicants able to demonstrate the above criteria may be considered
  • Sales – Medical device sales experience would be an advantage
  • Clinical – clinical education or experience in the optical industry would be an advantage
  • Results driven with a proven track record of consistently over delivering on targets.
