Blue Planet, a division of Ciena, is seeking a Senior OSS Solution Architect to join our professional services team in Japan. This is an exciting opportunity to lead transformative OSS projects, drive innovative solutions, and collaborate with our Japan-based clients and international teams.

How You Will Contribute:

• Design and deliver integrated OSS solutions tailored to client business objectives, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
• Lead technical implementation teams, providing architecture guidance across Blue Planet’s inventory and associated products.
• Analyze client business processes and convert requirements into scalable, sustainable OSS solutions.
• Cultivate strong client relationships with professionalism and cultural sensitivity for long-term collaboration.
• Identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and apply industry best practices to overcome challenges.
• Act as a thought leader in OSS solution design, network inventory management, and digital transformation.
• Provide insights to product development and sales teams, driving alignment with market and customer needs.

The Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications OSS, with 5+ years in solution architecture and implementation leadership.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale client engagements and delivering complex solutions in Japan or the APAC region.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2/N1 or equivalent) and fluency in English.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with Blue Planet product suite, especially inventory and systems integration components.
• Deep knowledge of telecom protocols, network technologies, and OSS/BSS ecosystems.
• Advanced problem-solving and time management skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and foster consensus in multicultural teams.
• Experience mentoring junior consultants and building high-performing client teams.
