Air Liquide is hiring a Plant Operator in Sainte-Catherine!

Job Summary:

The Plant Operator will be responsible for the execution and completion of day to day operations.Engage in the safe handling of Anhydrous Ammonia and Ammonium Hydroxide processes and applications to accommodate Airgas consumers. Maintain neat, clean, and professional personal appearance, and maintain facility to the professional standards set forth by Airgas. Listens to and resolves service inquiries and complaints. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Bulk cargo tank loading/unloading/evacuation (anhydrous ammonia/ammonium hydroxide).

  • Plant maintenance for all aspects of the facility.

  • Truck and trailer maintenance including pump rebuilds and all other process pieces.

  • Cold Flo sampling (anhydrous ammonia).

  • Production and testing (ammonium hydroxide).

  • Daily inventory/monitoring of  products.

  • Data recording/interpreting.

  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.

  • Complete plant inspections and hose inspections.

Required qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

  • One (1) year experience in a production/manufacturing environment

  •  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percents.

  •  Able to understand and follow the direction of supervisors.
