What would you do? We help clients address quality and productivity issues, keep pace with customer expectations, navigate regulatory and operational pressures and ensure business sustainability by transforming their banking operations into an agile, resilient operating model. The Corporate banking /Wholesale banking team is responsible for helping clients and organizations processes trade finance transactions by providing superior service delivery to trade customers whilst safeguarding the bank from risks associated with this business. Conduct detailed research on the financial history of businesses to determine their creditworthiness. Assess the risk parameters of the loan, borrower, and industry including the Financial performance of the borrower and guarantor, assessing the repayment capacity and recommending the future course of action in approving/declining/counter offer of business loans.
What are we looking for? Candidate will be working in our Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, and Capital Market verticals to help clients with their operations & investment portfolios. Candidate will be part of the Lending Operations team which prepares retail credit proposals, conducts pre-analysis, do dupe checks, data entry, customer point verifications (CPV), and review income documents in line with the client credit policy, procedures, and turnaround times. Candidate will be working on Wholesale Lending which is a debt-based funding arrangement between a business and a financial institution. In this role the expectation is to work on Loan preparation, setup, booking, funding, documentation, collateral maintenance, equipment finance, or specialty finance & insurance • Should be able to review the US financial statements of the borrowers/guarantors. • Analyzing risk, ensuring sound financial decisions, and safeguarding profitability. • Commercial Underwriters performs risk assessments on potential loan recipients / borrowers based on credit rating / risk rating, borrowing history, industry information / reports, financial performance, guarantors performance, collateral support, risk and mitigations associated with the borrower and other risk factors. • Required to understand Complex Documentation such as loan agreement, audit report and legal language. To ensure that all loan/policy applications and files are complete and accurate. • Understand and Analyze the company / borrower performance based on financials, cashflow, and other secondary information • Ability to summarize borrower, financials, cashflow.
