Job Summary

As a Business Analyst / Consultant – Data Usage Rights, you will work closely with the Product Owner – Data Usage Rights to gather and document requirements for initiatives focused on permissible data usage within the organization. You will coordinate with legal, technical, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with data privacy and governance standards, contribute to the development of dashboards and consent repositories, and support change management efforts for seamless adoption of new processes. This role demands a balance of strong analytical capabilities, effective communication, and familiarity with data governance principles.

Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and stakeholders to capture detailed functional and technical requirements for data usage rights projects.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, ensuring clarity and traceability for development teams and end-users.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

  • Act as a liaison between legal, compliance, technical teams, and business units to translate regulatory and strategic goals into actionable requirements.
  • Provide regular status updates, facilitate workshops, and resolve issues to keep project deliverables on track.

Data Governance & Consent Management Support

  • Work with data governance teams to align requirements with organizational policies and industry best practices in privacy and consent management.
  • Assist in designing consent repositories, dashboards, and related tools to support transparent data usage tracking.

Change Management & Process Adoption

  • Contribute to planning and executing change management initiatives that promote the understanding and acceptance of new data usage processes.
  • Develop training materials and communications that empower end-users to adopt updated workflows, tools, and compliance practices.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet specified requirements and uphold data usage rights standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement in existing processes, offering recommendations to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Professional & Technical Skills

Analytical & Documentation Expertise

  • Proficiency in capturing and refining complex business requirements into structured documentation.
  • Skilled at translating technical details into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholder groups.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate stakeholder interviews, gather feedback, and align project goals across multiple teams.
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations in a concise, business-friendly manner.

Data Governance & Privacy Knowledge

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and consent management practices.
  • Understanding of how data usage policies and privacy considerations impact organizational processes and technical architectures.

Data Visualization & Reporting

  • Experience working with reporting tools or dashboards to communicate project status, compliance metrics, and value realization.
  • Capable of analyzing data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in data usage rights initiatives.

Change Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Hands-on experience in planning and implementing change management strategies for new data processes or technologies.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to evolving business, legal, and technical requirements.

Experience
