Job Description:
Major Job Functions
- Install, trouble shoot, and maintain all connectivity hardware/software
- Complete technical documentation
- Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs
- Interface with customers, products and sales support and the Finning team
- Working with the supervisor and lead hand on various tasks
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Various related duties as required
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
- Experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Strong field troubleshooting skills on the Caterpillar mining product line
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract required
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
- Completion or be in the process of completing Finning S-level courses would also be considered an asset
Important Detail
- This position will work a 14x14 continuous dayshift rotation based at Syncrude/Aurora sites
- A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
Union Membership
- You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted

- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
