This role is responsible for ensuring all live platforms operate smoothly, efficiently, and without disruption. It’s an excellent opportunity to kick‑start your career, gain valuable commercial programming experience, and grow into a seasoned and skilled developer.

You’ll be involved in maintaining applications to agreed service levels, analysing and resolving issues, supporting testing and release activities, facilitating smooth handovers from project to production support, and assisting Service Managers in delivering services within KPIs, SLAs, and contractual commitments.

The responsibilities will include:  

  • Investigating errors and issues across live, high‑end production platforms
  • Researching, diagnosing, and resolving defects based on provided descriptions and logs
  • Developing code, scripts, and schemas to address complex technical challenges
  • Troubleshooting problems across databases, web servers, application servers, and cloud environments
  • Identifying and resolving performance‑related issues
  • Collaborating closely with Production Support Analysts and Testers
  • Automating manual processes within Production Support (CSI) to improve efficiency
  • Applying fixes using DevOps tools and best practices
  • Working within a highly skilled support development team to resolve production issues

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or an equivalent qualification
  • Strong understanding of OOP, with the ability to debug code and interpret log entries
  • Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise production environments
  • Hands‑on experience with OOP programming languages.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within cloud environments
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS or Azure
  • Experience with Linux/Unix system administration
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and convey technical ideas to stakeholders and clients
  • A willingness to learn — there is a significant amount of technology and process knowledge to master
  • Logical thinker with strong reverse‑engineering skills and a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
