Our Marketing and Corporate Affairs function is focused on continually driving positive reputation, brand consideration and customer engagement with the Commonwealth Bank. The function has direct responsibility for end-to-end marketing, branding, stakeholder insights, government relations, communications and corporate social responsibility. 

 

Women in Focus works with and across Business Bank, providing opportunities for bankers to engage with and support their customers through deeper conversations and value-add opportunities. 

 

You will be joining a positive, energetic and relationship driven team, whose purpose is balanced between delivering people-centred and commercial outcomes. The team has a genuine passion for the work they do which shines through in the programmes they run and their day to day.

As a Manager, you will enable and support women-led businesses in Australia, to bring them together for collective impact, to share expertise, build trusted relationships and drive social change. Women in Focus’ work supports Business Bank to ensure the growth of women-led businesses across Australia.  

 

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Leading and support across marketing and events to deliver the Women in Focus strategy 

  • Development and delivery of Women in Focus strategic initiatives including the delivery of events and podcasts. 

  • Event design and research, venue and supplier sourcing, budget management, event promotion, writing event copy, internal and external stakeholder management including legal, brand and marketing, risk and compliance, onsite event management, coordination of post-implementation reviews, metrics and reporting on event outcomes.  

  • Customer relationship management, ensuring full and correct data capture of event registrations and record keeping in our CRM, RSVP management across the annual program of events. 

 

We're interested in hearing from people who have:  

  • Extensive knowledge and experience formulating and delivering marketing, digital, communication and business plans including performance measurements 

  • Background in events management and partnerships (highly desirable) 

  • Proficiency with tools such as AEM, Aventri/Stova, Jira and Salesforce 

  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on risk management from a marketing perspective 

  • Proven customer focus and passion for delivering exceptional customer service  

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and building strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation 

  • Excellent planning and project management skills
