Job Summary

As a Software Systems Engineer, you will operate at the critical intersection of advanced software/tool development and cutting-edge Pre-Install Image Engineering. You will lead the architectural design, implementation, and long-term sustainability of complex software systems engineered to solve high-impact technical challenges. By optimizing for peak performance, robust scalability, and resource efficiency, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless, world-class end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

System Architecture & Development

  • Design & Enhance: Lead the design, programming, and integration of system software enhancements, including operating systems, compilers, networking protocols, utilities, and database structures.

  • Translate & Execute: Analyze high-level product objectives and architectural frameworks to determine precise coding, programming, and integration requirements.

  • Image Engineering: Drive the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, factory patches, and deployment scripts/tools with high autonomy and technical expertise.

Optimization & Quality Assurance

  • Performance Engineering: Proactively monitor and test application performance to detect bottlenecks, engineer robust solutions, and collaborate with development teams to implement fixes.

  • Rigorous Testing: Write and execute comprehensive testing plans, protocols, and documentation; actively debug complex integration issues within the core application architecture.

  • Automation First: Champion automation initiatives to streamline deployment workflows, reduce manual overhead, and accelerate time-to-market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Typically 4–7 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, software development, or a related field or 3–5 years paired with an advanced graduate degree.

  • Advanced proficiency in Python, C++, and SQL.

  • Strong experience with Docker, containerization, and building robust automation frameworks.

  • Deep understanding of API design and integration, systems programming, and advanced debugging methodologies.
