About the Role:
As a System Engineer III, you will perform moderately complex research, design, and systems engineering tasks. You will respond to system management alerts to handle system/operations exceptions within the assigned enterprise systems of our product offerings. Additionally, you will be responsible for triage change management support.
Responsibilities:
Create and manage software installation packages using tools such as MSI, MSIX, Advanced Installer, or similar technologies for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Automated software packaging, software updates, and deployment processes to streamline application delivery in enterprise environments.
Conduct rigorous testing to ensure software packages meet functionality, stability, and compliance requirements.
Resolve compatibility issues across different operating systems and configurations.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployment-related issues.
Maintain detailed documentation for software packages, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Monitor deployment metrics and generate performance reports to improve processes.
Ensure all software packages comply with corporate security and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Experience with software packaging tools like InstallShield, Advanced Installer, Master Packager, Composer, or similar for macOS.
Strong knowledge about application installation, Windows Installer process workflow, and deployment process workflow for both Windows and macOS.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Shell/Bash scripting, or Python to automate software packaging, updates, and deployment.
Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.
Experience with software deployment and distribution tools such as SCCM, Intune, JAMF, Landscape, or other enterprise deployment tools.
Experience in handling DLL conflicts, dependencies, and compatibility testing.
Ensure packaged applications meet security policies and compliance standards.
Strong troubleshooting skills in analyzing application installation/deployment/functionality failures and providing solutions.
Soft Skills:
Ability to diagnose and resolve packaging and deployment issues.
Ensuring software packages are built with minimal errors.
Collaboration with developers, IT teams, and end-users to address software deployment needs.
Managing multiple software packaging projects with deadlines.
Creating clear documentation for software packages, dependencies, and troubleshooting steps.
