We’re hiring an Intern
The Intern must love to work with growers on the farm and in their fields alongside a network of Pannar Agronomists & Sales Representative that have a common passion for agriculture, adding value and improving customer experience. Individuals must like working independently and, in a team, being able to contribute to a high-performing and dynamic Pannar team. Key personal qualities include confidence, competitiveness, a desire to win, driven to succeed, strong communication skills, and being a team player. Critical decision-making skills are also necessary for this position and a desire to constantly learn and improve to strive towards excellence. A strong work ethic, moral standards with a high level of professionalism, and pride in the quality of work performed will lead to success for this individual.
You Will Be Part of Growing Team
The candidate will act as a liaison with Pannar Agronomy to increase market share and strengthen relationships with key operations. Focused areas are to assist Pannar Field Agronomist in field, to collect product data, help with trial evaluation, assist in the harvesting of trials, and provide grower solutions to add value and increase yield and profitability to help key operations be sustainable. Candidates should be comfortable in compiling data into understandable format.
Your Challenge:
Collect, clean, and organize agronomic datasets (soil, crop, weather, and yield data).
Perform statistical analysis and develop predictive models for crop performance and resource optimization.
Assist in building dashboards and visualization tools for agronomic insights
Support field trials and data collection of trials on maize, sunflower, and soyabeans
Collaborate with agronomists to translate data findings into actionable recommendations.
Key Stakeholders and Interactions:
Partner with Product Agronomists, Field Agronomists and Sales Representative to create and deliver product and digital services information that improves the productivity and profitability of Pannar customers

To Grow What Matters You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture (Soil science, Agronomy, Plant Pathology) or
Bachelor’s in Agricultural Science with Data Analytics Specialization
Knowledge/ experience of crops like maize, sunflower and soybeans is needed
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills are required for fostering teamwork, enhancing a good working environment, and effectively developing strong working relationships with a diverse group of people
Ability to supervise and prioritize multiple tasks is critical
Proficiency in Office software such as spreadsheets, mail, calendar and presentation tools
Valid driving license
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
A valid driver’s license is required
Langue skill: English and Afrikaans
