Reporting to the Leidos NSOC Lead, the NSOC Patch Management Specialist scans for, documents, reports, and remediates vulnerabilities and weaknesses identified in hardware and software.
The position may require occasional short-term travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites. This position may require an infrequent shift in workday schedule to support exercises occurring over weekends.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead NSOC staff to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction by achieving and maintaining high STIG and configuration compliance as demonstrated on cybersecurity dashboard vulnerability measurements.
Provide onsite and remote vulnerability assessment support, independent of incident detection, recovery, or reporting activities. This includes full-knowledge, open-security assessment of sites, enclaves, and systems.
Use network and vulnerability scanning tools, including ACAS (Tenable.sc / Nessus), as well as invasive technologies to interrogate systems for configuration and status.
Develop and deliver vulnerability assessment reports to document the findings and recommended remediations, including artifacts supporting Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
Work with system owners and system administrators to remediate vulnerabilities.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field.
Typically requires 12 – 15 years of related experience.
Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
Experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting a variety of ICAM platforms and associated databases.
Experience administering a variety of ICAM platforms and associated databases, including privileged and non-privileged user identities, credentials, and authorizations.
Experience creating dashboards and analytics within ICAM tools.
At least one current DoD 8140 certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field.
Experience with virtualized environments (VMware, Red Hat).
Experience with DoD Identity and Access Management (IdAM) authentication and access control policies and procedures.
Experience working with cloud computing and infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, etc.) to IL6.
Experience as a member of agile programs.
Network Security Operations Center (NSOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), or Security Operations Center (SOC) experience.
