Job Summary
The Commercial IT Liquids Tech Lead is part of a global team of IT professionals providing critical Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) business application and process support to Commercial Liquids Trading, Scheduling, Confirmations/Contracts, Pricing, Risk, Compliance, Credit, Data Analytics, and Finance business stakeholders.Position Overview
Your responsibilities may include:
Work alongside Business and Solution Architects and the Liquids IT functional support team to pinpoint and leverage opportunities that align technology, processes, and strategies to enhance the capabilities delivered by IT in service to Commercial Liquids organization
Serve as Technical Lead of Commercial Transformation IT initiatives for the Commercial Liquids organization
Create and maintain the Commercial Liquids solutions roadmap that reflects the transition of essential business processes towards the intended target state, aligned with transformational goals
Provide technical consulting services to functional IT support and business groups related to Commercial Liquids ETRM applications (front-to-back office processes), reports, and interfaces
Collaborate with Enterprise IT groups to ensure reliability, security, and effective performance of Commercial Liquids application and data infrastructure
Collaborate with the Liquids IT functional support team and software vendors to optimize licensed products, support portfolio rationalization through standardization, conduct vendor roadmap reviews, and coordinate with vendor technical support to resolve issues
Partner with all stakeholders - IT and business - to identify the root causes of production system issues and define and implement (or coordinate the implementation of) solutions
Respond to internal and external audit, Legal, and business user data requests

Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or other related field or foreign equivalent
12 or more years of experience supporting ETRM applications such as RightAngle, TriplePoint, Endur, etc
10 or more years of commodity trading related domain knowledge
Experience with systems integration, application testing, and user support
Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Copilot
Preferred:
15 or more years of experience supporting ETRM applications such as RightAngle, TriplePoint, Endur, etc
10 or more years of experience with SQL and stored procedures
Experience with Commercial Risk Systems (Market Risk/VaR, Credit Risk, PnL)
Experience with Commercial Pre-Trade Analytics and Modeling Tools
Experience with Commercial Pricing Tools
Experience with Power BI, Spotfire, .Net and C#
Experience working in Agile, digital, and product-driven delivery environments
Strong experience with project management skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage vendor relationships
Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical and architectural challenges
In-depth understanding of business processes and how they are enabled by technology solutions
