Job Summary
The Pathology Supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, and directing the activities of the histology, surgical, pathology, and cytology services.Pay Range
Minimum $107,931 Midpoint $143,000 Maximum $178,069Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in pathology.
• Preferred: Five (5) years of experience in pathology, three (3) years of experience in a leadership role within pathology.
Education
• Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: Master of Healthcare Administration or Master of Business Administration.
Training
• Required: None required.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Demonstrated strength in building and articulating a vision and setting goals. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills to understand and anticipate the impact and opportunities across multiple critical projects. Ability to build and establish positive relationships with stakeholders and staff at all levels. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Ability to effectively present findings/ recommendations to Executive level audiences. Intermediate or advanced skills of computer systems and software used in functional area such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced knowledge in using spreadsheets and database skills. Broad knowledge of quality, patient safety, performance improvement, regulatory requirements, medical staff structure, peer review, and legal aspects of care.
Licensure
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); One of Clinical Lab Scientist – CA (CLS), Cytotechnologist – CA or Histotechnologist – National Certification.
