By working as a Solutions Architecture Intern in their Compute and Networking Business Unit, you'll have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Micron's technologies and capabilities, enterprise and data center architectures, memory subsystems and its use cases, market trends, and competitive landscapes. 

 

Under the guidance of an experienced Solutions Architect, you'll have the chance to perform architecture modeling and analysis. This will help the team identify and establish value propositions for Micron's memory solutions. Additionally, you'll help the team identify the ideal server-level system architectures for different workloads with optimal performance/power/TCO. This internship is an incredible opportunity to learn from experts in the field and gain hands-on experience that will benefit you in your future endeavors. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop system models for various architecture configurations and use cases to identify CXL value proposition. 

  • Automate system and tradeoff analysis for different KPIs. 

  • Analyze and benchmark enterprise/data center workloads at the system level. 

  • Conduct competitive analysis using emulation and simulation platforms. 

 

Required Skills: 

  • Knowledge in computer architecture, systems modeling, architecture simulation, and analysis is preferred. 

  • Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, SystemC, Python. 

  • Familiarity with memory subsystems and tradeoffs is beneficial. 

  • Experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks is required. 

  • Ability to conduct research independently with minimal supervision. 

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills are a must. 

Education:

  • Seeking candidates with M.S or Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Must be graduating December 2024 or after.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$36.16 - $46.16

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
