Summary of Job Duties:
Oversees the day to day activities of clinic administrative staff. Facilitates the operations of assigned work-flows for scheduling, registration, and authorizations. Works closely with Manager to make continuous process improvements to meet revenue cycle operational goals. Assists with the testing, managing and/or monitoring of workflows within UAMS electronic systems to insure maximum productivity. Educates staff on scheduling requirements and physician templates, payer requirements and government rules and regulations required for compliance and customer service. They will also perform regular audits to insure productivity, quality and compliance. Provides report of findings and works with administrative team to develop corrective action plans. Displays exceptional leadership, supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field PLUS three (3) years of registration and/or billing experience OR High School Diploma/GED PLUS seven (7) years of registration and/or billing experience including three (3) years of experience in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years supervisory and registration/billing experience.

Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Service Line leadership as requested to identify opportunities for improving the patient experience and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Monitors staff performance by conducting quality and productivity audits, administering training, and facilitating all HR functions within the department.
Processes purchase requisitions and travel requests. Reviews and resolves any invoicing, purchasing and reimbursement issues. Processes contract billing, including staff hours worked, equipment purchases, and individual outside contract payments.
Supervises staff by monitoring activities and productivity on a daily basis to ensure department expectations are met for referral turnaround times, call statistics, quality, and customer service. Maintains appropriate staffing levels based on workload and ensures adequate staffing coverage is in place to support the office hours. Administers and maintains performance standards for productivity, quality, and compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
