Your New Role and Responsibilities

As a Graduate Data Scientist or Graduate Data Engineer, you’ll join a collaborative analytics and data delivery team supporting mission‑critical programs for our customers. You’ll work on meaningful projects that turn data into insights, insights into action, and engineering into robust, secure data solutions.

Depending on your background and interests, you may focus on analytics, data modelling or data engineering—or build experience across all three as part of your early career development.

Key responsibilities:

For Graduate Data Scientists

  • Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns and anomalies
  • Build, test and refine predictive, statistical and machine learning models
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations for internal and customer reporting
  • Contribute to analytical products that enhance decision‑making and operational outcomes

For Graduate Data Engineers

  • Support the design, development and maintenance of secure data pipelines
  • Assist in building, optimising and managing data platforms and ingestion frameworks
  • Implement data quality, data governance and data transformation processes
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and project teams to deliver integrated solutions

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact

Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret AGSVA security clearance

This role is ideal for someone who is completing or has recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline:

  • Bachelor Data Science

  • Bachelor Statistics
  • Bachelor Mathematics
  • Bachelor Information Systems
