About the Opportunity:

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 189-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac and rehabilitation. This rewarding opportunity will see you join the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba (SVPHT) as an Assistant in Nursing in our busy 24/7 Emergency Department.

Things that work for us:

• Essential qualifications: Relevant TAFE Certificate ie Certificate III health/aged care and/or have successfully completed second year bachelor of nursing studies clinical placement 

• Previous experience in an Emergency Department or Hospital setting

• Ability to provide clinical practice and care that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of the Facility. 

• Ability to assist in the performance of nursing duties in an efficient and prompt manner as delegated by a Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse. 

• Have a demonstrated application of contemporary infection control standards and practices

• Proven ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, weekends and nights included.
