Team: Carrier Management, Wayfair Delivery Network

Our European Carrier Management team oversees all of Wayfair’s Transportation and Delivery partners across Europe. We seek to ensure continuously high levels of customer satisfaction by providing the most reliable and professional delivery experience in the industry, driven by repeatable, scalable processes that are formed from live data.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast paced, highly visible role with the scope to reshape one of our core operational functions within our Supply Chain as an Account Manager for large parcels. You’d be responsible for managing the performance of a portfolio of strategic carrier partners across the EU from the supplier to the customer, and everything in between to ensure that our goods reach their destination.

Working with our logistics partners and internal teams you’d look at our scheduled deliveries, anticipating any delays or blockages along the distribution route, mitigating any issues and resolving any obstacles from the port to the customer.

 What you will do:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of 3PL carriers in the EU, gaining a deep understanding of their operations, administration, and finance to drive a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Collaborate with these partners to identify areas for improvement and jointly enhance performance.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Wayfair Delivery Network (WDN) execution team to align business needs with carrier performance, driving improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct regular calls (daily/weekly/monthly) with carriers to review key performance indicators.
  • Travel 10-20% of the time to meet with carrier partners and visit Wayfair warehouses in DE and UK for performance reviews.
  • Proactively identify critical markets and collaborate with internal teams to address potential performance issues before they escalate.
  • Become an expert in EU large parcel logistics, including cross-border shipments to and from the UK.
  • Partner with multiple teams across Wayfair to improve the overall performance and operations of the carrier network.

What you will need:

We seek a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep passion for transportation and supply chain management to help drive this strategic initiative. Additional skills and experiences that we are looking for are:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Analytics or qualified by equivalent experience. Relevant experience in a data-driven role, working closely with people and managing relationships.
  • Project management, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of resolving complex queries, someone who can quickly understand the root cause and implement sustainable solutions.

Although an experience in logistics, carrier management or transportation operations is a plus ultimately if you are an effective problem solver with strong relationship management skills, apply today!
