CASUAL POSTION

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for patient transportation to and from all Cardiology diagnostic areas.  Assist with patient set up in labs, CPD, lab turnover, basic patient vitals, patient documentation, etc.  Expected to adhere to hospital standards applying equally to the interactions between all customer groups, physicians and staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:       

  • Transports patients to and from diagnostic Cardiology areas.  Basic management of patient transportation process (safety, comfort, lifting techniques, stretcher).
  • Cath lab boarding and registration.
  • Assist Nursing Staff and Non-Invasive staff.  Coordinate preparation, collection and organization of patient charts.
  • Assist with ordering and stocking of lab supplies.
  • Ensures patient comfort and privacy in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Assists with lab turnarounds.
  • Miscellaneous duties that arise specific to increased volume, increased patient acuity, etc.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Training: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent required

Work Experience: 

  • Successfully completes department orientation and on-the-job training.

Certification, Licensure, Registration:

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.
