Our dynamic Agile Team delivers our ssrn.com platform, which enables early and quick sharing of scientific knowledge used by research facilities, academia and universities. SSRN is a preprint academic research platform. The team enables to support & develop the platform with a wide range of technology tools.
 

About the Role
 

This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. We are looking for someone who have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.
 

Responsibilities
 

  • Interfacing with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
  • Working closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews. Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Resolving complex technical issues as necessary


Requirements

  • Ability to work with complex data models.
  • Have proficiency in development languages for example: Java, JavaScript, HTML, SQL and React.
  • Have ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Understanding of developing in a cloud environment.
