Verizon’s Supply Chain has built a Global Strategic Sourcing Centre of Excellence in Ireland. We are responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationship across the enterprise to achieve best total value, whilst driving outstanding shareholder value for Verizon.
As a Sourcing Manager, you will be part of a team that will control and manage one of the largest annual technology spends in the world. Our purchasing power combined with your skills and expertise will help us maintain our market-leading position.

Some key responsibilities include:
• Supporting Verizon's cost savings and revenue generation business goals through the sourcing process for large spend category areas of approximately one hundred million dollars and more annually.
• Leading strategic sourcing activities associated with construction, installation, engineering and maintenance services of Network Telecom infrastructure such as cell towers, antennas, fiber cable and other associated assets.
• Driving all aspects of complex strategic sourcing process, including but not limited to, taking lead on contract negotiations of business and pricing terms and conditions, conducting research and providing benchmark data on pricing and/or other key terms.
• Drafting, executing, and managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle as well as overseeing supplier relationship and management activities.
• Developing and managing Category Strategy in collaboration with various internal stakeholders and presenting to the Executives within the Organization.
• Processing large amounts of and varying types of data to extrapolate favorable conclusions and adapting to new AI technologies to apply in day-to-day work.

You have no problem prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects and you’re no stranger to tight timelines. Balancing the intersection of cost, efficiency, and quality, you expertly negotiate the best outcomes for all parties.
You’ll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
• Experience in Strategic Sourcing
• Working experience on RFx(s) and contract types such as Governing Agreements, Statement of Work, Work Orders, etc.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
• Master’s degree in supply chain or related areas.
• Knowledge of Business Analytical approaches and applications
• Outside Plant (OSP)/Inside Plant (ISP) Construction & Engineering Sourcing background.
• Knowledge / experience of Wireless & Wireline Telecommunications (Copper, Fiber Optics, Cell Towers, etc.).
• Experience of Sourcing / Commercial Management of wireless and wireline Telecommunications construction & maintenance projects.
• Credentials from Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), International Association for Contract & Commercial Management (IACCM) or Irish Institute of Purchasing & Materials Management (IIPMM).
• Ability to solve complex problems to ensure business and financial issues result in sound decisions. • Project Management in complex multi-project and multi-geography environment. • Prior experience as a telecommunications installer and / or engineer.
• PMP or Prince 2 experience.
• Lean Six Sigma experience.
• Knowledge of Ariba, Google Suite and Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word) – MS Access.
• Strong interpersonal and client service skills. • Strong analytical skills.
