What you will do:

Define, design, and implement process improvement as a methodology and tool, supporting integration and alignment vertically and horizontally, across organization.  Support improvement projects aligned with business strategies and JCI priorities.  Coach and mentor improvement team members across the organization with projects in highly transactional business processes.  Assist OpEx PMO Manager in operational excellence support for the program governance, project reviews, communications, training, certifications, and rewards.  Utilize Lean, Six Sigma and change management methodologies and have appropriate levels of certifications for the role. 

How you will do it:

Manages Six Sigma Green Belt Training and Certification program, including:

Organizing candidates and instructors for training

Updating training curriculum to be current and relevant to transactional business processes

Reviewing and approving certification project work during all phases for compliance to corporate requirements

Mentoring Green Belt candidates and coordinating mentoring by others in the broader OpEx organization

Provides mentoring and direction to Green Belt and Black Belts and project teams in institutionalizing a lean, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma (Process Certification) mindset as they successfully lead major projects to ensure strategic planning and tactical execution, in accordance with JCOS/Operational Excellence program directives

Assists with advanced strategic planning and highly sophisticated tactical project execution in accordance with JCOS/Operational Excellence program directives to ensure organization objectives are met. Contributes to the identification of projects that meet strategic objectives

Assists with deployment of Operational Excellence tools and methodologies in transactional business environments to work towards becoming a recognized Operational Excellence practitioner/Operational Excellence leader and drive best in class processes

Supports monthly Operational Excellence execution, performance, and financial reporting to ensure that organization objectives in the areas of cost, efficiency, and quality are met

Displays continuously the characteristics of a change leader in the organization

The ability to travel, up to 25% as required

What we look for:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in relevant field from an accredited university. 
  • Black Belt accreditation is required.  Master Black Belt certification is preferred.
  • 10 years of functional and 4 - 6 years of a Managerial/Leadership experience.
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong statistical background
  • Background in Central Operations, Call Centers and Customer Support

Preferred:

  • Proficient with use of computer and software applications including Minitab, Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.  Experience in process mapping.
  • Experience training Green Belts & Black Belts.
  • Project management skills - Strong ability to lead projects within budget, and in a timely manner.
