Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Junior Execution Support Engineer to join our trading technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience supporting electronic trading systems within a fast-paced front-office environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers, traders, developers, and infrastructure teams to support critical trading applications, monitor order flow, investigate issues, and contribute to operational excellence. The role offers significant opportunities to develop expertise in electronic trading, financial markets, and modern technology platforms.

• Provide first-line production support for trading and front-office applications.
• Assist in troubleshooting order flow, connectivity, and application issues, including FIX protocol and network-related incidents.
• Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Perform log analysis and assist with root-cause investigations on Unix/Linux platforms.
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability, monitoring, and operational processes.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities following established procedures.
• Support traders and business users by investigating operational issues and helping to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Experience

• 0–3 years of experience in application support, production support, financial technology, or a related technical role.
• Strong interest in financial markets, electronic trading, and trading technology.
• Fundamental technical skills in:
  • Unix/Linux environments
  • SQL and relational databases
  • Scripting or programming (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, connectivity concepts).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work directly with business users and technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to financial markets, trading systems and trading platforms
• Basic understanding of order lifecycles and electronic trading concepts.
• Familiarity with FIX protocol concepts.
• Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Exposure to cloud and modern infrastructure technologies such as:
  • AWS
  • Kubernetes
  • Kafka
  • Snowflake
• Knowledge of FlexTrade, Arcesium, reference data, or security master platforms is advantageous but not required.
