As a Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will represent Williams in dealings with federal and state agencies. This role is responsible for interpreting regulations, working with applicable agencies and coordinating with leaders to ensure overall compliance success. It’s vital to have experience in major compliance efforts that have had positive impact on earnings!

Day In The Life:

In this role, you will be considered a subject matter expert in regulatory compliance and provide Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory compliance support such as drug & alcohol compliance requirements, represent Williams through integrated inspections with federal and state agencies, Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) determination for DOT assets, and lead Operator Qualification (OQ) process support. You'll work to improve and increase efficiencies for Williams' drug & alcohol program through customer feedback and inspections, maintain training materials and ensure accuracy for Williams' DOT safety, non-DOT safety and non-safety sensitive employee population and establish and maintain committee for drug & alcohol program revisions.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Performs sophisticated technical tasks, leads teams in projects of major scope or unusual complexity
  • Leads development, implementation and ensures effectiveness of standards, specifications and training
  • Interprets regulations and coordinates with management to assure overall compliance success
  • Advises, participates in and presents technical data to leaders
  • Works with applicable agencies in the classification and certification of operating assets including onshore and offshore installations
  • Identifies additional needs for facility design, start-up, operation, maintenance and integrity
  • Audits company facilities and performs due diligence investigations for acquisitions/divestitures
  • Handles projects or programs with moderate resource requirements; risk and/or complexity; monitors and controls costs and resources
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum eleven (11) years’ experience compliance-related experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree and experience in the EHS functional areas, such as environmental, process safety or DOT

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
