Our client, the Department of the Navy’s Ship Maintenance Performance Group (SMPG), seeks a highly experienced Client Executive to serve as the strategic right hand and trusted advisor to the government leadership suite. This role is embedded within the client’s leadership team and functions as a critical integrator of strategic initiatives, leadership alignment, and enterprise communication across a complex, data-driven mission environment.

As Client Executive, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional coordination, managing senior-level stakeholder engagements, and driving alignment of organizational priorities with the Director’s strategic vision. This position requires a seasoned consultant with a strong mix of strategic acumen, operational insight, and collaborative leadership. The ideal candidate will have proven ability to exercise executive-level judgment and decisiveness, navigating complex organizational environments and driving results autonomously when representing client leadership
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary strategic advisor and business partner to the Director, facilitating the execution of enterprise-level initiatives and leadership priorities.
Confidently act with delegated authority, making critical decisions in the absence of the Director/Program Manager to maintain operational continuity and advance strategic objectives.
Lead coordination across multiple departments, aligning cross-functional teams and stakeholders to optimize mission outcomes.
Provide direct support to the Director in internal and external forums, translating leadership intent into actionable plans and communications.
Develop and manage governance frameworks and decision-making processes that increase transparency, accountability, and responsiveness.
Deliver comprehensive program oversight and progress reporting, synthesizing complex data and organizational inputs for senior leadership review.
Identify emerging risks and opportunities, recommending proactive adjustments to plans and resource allocation.
Foster strong relationships across client leadership, external partners, and vendor teams to ensure mission success and stakeholder satisfaction.
