What you'll be doing


You’ll be joining CIBC’s Client Service Technology, a team dedicated to ensuring the highest quality in all aspects of systems testing to meet client needs. As a Consultant QA, you will develop and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases. Lead test execution, defect management, and reporting. Ensure quality standards and best practices are followed.

Coordinate with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure requirements traceability. Provide guidance and training to QA team members and monitor and report on QA metrics and progress.

How you'll Succeed

  • Testing expertise - Lead the translation of business requirements into test cases and manage end-to-end testing activities to deliver quality products that meet business and system requirements.

  • Leadership skills - Provide mentorship and support to your QA team, proactively identifying issues and recommending improvements throughout all test phases.

  • Project coordination - Coordinate with stakeholders to manage project risks, deliver regular status updates, and ensure all test deliverables align with project timelines, budgets, and goals.

Who you are

  • You demonstrate experience. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
    Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Tectia, Textpad, ALM). Experience with both manual and automated testing. Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar). Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Hands-on experience with API testing and performance testing tools. Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) is an asset.
