Wealth Credit Management (WCM) is a newly formed business line to provide integrated end to end credit underwriting, transaction and portfolio management in partnership with origination businesses of the Private Bank and Wealth Management of Citi.  The Data Management & Reporting team (DRT) is a critical team within WCM that is responsible for preparing Management and Control Reports, and performing deep-dive analysis on data to arrive at key portfolio trends and insights. The team serves as a primary contact for audits and data tracing examinations, as well as plays a critical role in representing the Loan Product and Transaction Management (LPTM) team in various control forums.

We are seeking an experienced professional to perform a Reporting & Analytics role within the Americas LPTM group within WCM.  Due to the range of stakeholders, systems and dynamic processes involved, this is a demanding role that requires a high level of skill and judgment to prepare complex control metrics and portfolio analyses, assess data quality, remediate data issues and manage strategic projects in a timely manner and under deadline pressure.  The position offers an opportunity to gain insight into the Wealth Lending business and interact with many areas across Wealth and other Citi organizations globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and prepare time-sensitive key Control Reports, Portfolio Monitoring Reports, KRI/KPI metrics and presentations for WCM Portfolio managers and Product managers.
  • Work with multiple teams, including Underwriting, Technology, Operations, Risk Management, Data Governance, Finance and Regulatory Reporting teams, to ensure reporting requirements are developed, implemented and executed as needed for WCM Wholesale and Retail portfolios.
  • Coordinate data validations and aggregate information needed for regulatory reporting submissions, data quality processes and adhoc requests.  Investigate, articulate and resolve data issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate data requests for internal and external audits, regulatory examinations and data tracing exercises in conjunction with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to implement process improvements in an effort to continually streamline and standardize reporting and to optimize controls and efficiency.
  • Work with Technology and Infrastructure teams on automating solutions, enhancing system functionalities, performing UATs and constructing complex dashboards using BI tools.
  • Actively lead and participate in strategic projects, working groups and forums, and represent LPTM on reporting matters.
  • Constructively contribute to the creation of new procedures, standards, controls and regulatory related protocols, and ensure processes and documentation are properly maintained.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of Wholesale and Retail Lending products and credit risk concepts.
  • Expert track record in constructing insightful reports, dashboards and key metrics for senior management using advanced Excel and BI Reporting tools. Seasoned experience working with large, complex data sets.
  • Experience leading strategic projects, such as remediation efforts and regulatory related initiatives, in a large financial institution.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with team members and senior management within the lines of business and across cross-functional groups.  Strong influencing skills and ability to work in an environment where priorities are frequently changing.
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities including the ability to identify, escalate, propose and execute solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills with experience in continuously following up with various stakeholders and execution teams.
  • Ability to take initiative, self-motivate and consistently demonstrate a results-driven mindset.
  • Understanding of data governance processes, lending rules and regulations is a plus.

Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics or related quantitative field.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, programming languages utilized in data analysis (Python / SQL / VBA), Powerpoint and Word is essential.
  • Advanced skills in BI visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, COGNOS) is essential.
  • Knowledge of statistical software tools and data analytics platforms (SAS, Alteryx) is highly desired.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

$92,000.00 - $138,000.00
