Job Description:

Position: Software Engineer Mainframe Storage

Software Development Engineer: Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.

• Knowledge:  Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Will champion significant projects, programs and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity.

• Job Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.  Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Escalation point for complex issues. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. 

• Education:  Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering. At this level, post-graduate coursework may be desirable.

This position is responsible for creating, testing, ensuring the quality of and maintaining a product or product line.
