The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Credit Portfolio Management team (CPM) is responsible for among other activities conducting relative value analysis on new credit exposures (e.g. loans), performing analysis and executing any necessary hedges on the existing portfolio, and managing MUFG’s CVA exposures arising from its markets business (e.g. interest rate/FX swaps).

 

We are hiring an analyst for the team to perform the following:

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior traders on MUFG’s loan hedging and Credit Valuation Adjustment desk (CVA).
  • Develop a thorough understanding of financial markets
  • Oversee trade booking process through communication with dealer counterparties, and MUFG’s Market Operations Group, Controllers, and Risk Management functions.
  • Perform various reporting and analytical tasks including portfolio reporting, data analysis, P&L calculations, etc.
  • Build tools and models to assist traders in hedging various exposures by providing critical information and advice for managing risk 
  • Research and analyze markets, industries and companies for use within CPM and across the bank
  • Utilize quantitative methods to model market behavior
  • Use data science techniques to analyze large-scale market and position data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s majoring in Quantitative Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and/or a closely related degree
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical knowledge 
  • Strong programming skills, as well as Excel/Powerpoint
  • Communicates clearly and able to confidently and comfortably explain their analysis
  • Problem solver who is intellectually curious
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and hardworking
  • 1 to 3 years experience

 

The typical base pay range for this role is $90k - $110K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
