DESCRIPTION:
Join our legal team as an Associate Contracts Counsel and contribute to global healthcare through our clinical research services. In this role, you'll provide essential legal guidance and support in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements while working with appropriate autonomy. As the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders, you'll ensure our organization's interests are protected while facilitating critical business operations. You'll handle complex agreements including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), SaaS agreements, and other non-standard contracts, while also addressing department matters and general legal concerns. This position offers the opportunity to enhance processes, support team members, and develop/deliver legal training, contributing to our mission of improving global health and environmental outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in contract negotiation in an international corporate environment
• Active bar admission and good standing
• Advanced level English proficiency with excellent grammar and communication skills
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements
• Demonstrated ability to assess and mitigate legal risks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Experience in clinical research organization (CRO) industry preferred
• Ability to provide legal training and mentorship to team members
• Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and international)
• Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience in dispute resolution and handling escalated issues
• Knowledge of relevant SOPs, WPDs, and regulatory requirements
