What You Will Do

  • Define, plan, and develop component level requirements to define and develop Potable Water and Ice Protection system components for aircraft.
  • Ensure component designs meet aircraft and customer defined requirements.
  • Support technical planning, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for system components.
  • Explore design options for mechanical, fluid flow, and fluid storage components utilizing fundamental engineering principles.
  • Explore design options for heated composite leading edges utilizing thermal analysis, heater design, knowledge of industry standards for ice accretion, icing conditions and federal requirements for ice protection.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with ice protection, specialty heated products and/or potable water systems
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Direct experience with development Designing and certification of Aerospace Interiors Systems is preferred.  
  • Experience with managing projects across functions and throughout the entire product cycle.
  • Manufacturing industry experience developing physical products

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
