Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Finance advisor will be preparing, maintaining and analyzing the General Ledger. Responsible for Identifying, researching and implementing general ledger operational improvements, as well as addressing analysis requirements in support of the financial reporting processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain GL for Liquids legal entities by preparing monthly recurring entries, account analysis and account reconciliations.

  • Review and analyze the monthly general ledger for reasonableness, accuracy of information and compliance with Company policies and GAAP.

  • Coordinate month end activities, ensuring completion of specific accountabilities.

  • Collaborate closely with field staff to ensure accurate accruals are recorded on a monthly basis. Provide mentorship to ensure appropriate accounting policies are followed.

  • Support the Sr Financial Advisor responsible for Liquids legal entities monthly results.

  • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) internal control documentation and coordination with external auditors. Responsible for understanding key controls' design & execution and recommending changes to controls if processes change.
     

Who You Are:

  • You possess a Post-Secondary education in Accounting and Professional Accounting Designation.

  • 4 years or more post designation experience in an accounting environment is preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal and digital literacy.

  • Values other perspectives and respects diversity.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

  • Solid understanding of HFM, SmartView and Oracle.

    Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

    Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
