Senior Mold Engineer

Job Description

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Take lead of make ability study in product design phase, ensure the product design meet requirements of manufacturing,  the mold can be made with good quality , high efficiency and low cost.

• Prepare the mold specification to ensure the mold is clear defined and mold design can meet the requirement of manufacturing.

• Check the mold design from supplier side to ensure supplier’s design can meet the standard of Philips CL.

• Monitoring the fabrication process of molds/dies on supplier side to make sure the molds/dies can be made  according to mold spec. , and meet each milestone of project.

• Organize the mold trial to ensure the mold can be fully tested and the related risks can be found and managed.

• Direct and monitor the mold adaptation to ensure all the product design change can be correctly implemented.

• Release mold to production on time to ensure the mold can meet the requirement of mass production.

• Coordinate new color and new resin development for project according to project plan.

• Provide engineering support to purchasing dept. to ensure the technical ability and project management competence of mold maker can correctly assessed and developed.

• Provide engineering support to production department to improve the efficiency, FOR and cost.

• Assist the Manager to finish the group work and develop the group competence level.

You're fit if:

• Minimum 5-10 years of mold/die design or fabrication;

• Good knowledge for mold/die design;

• Good knowledge for plastic material and injection machine is highly  preferred.

• Good in writing, listening and speaking English.

• Familiar with MS like Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Internet.

• Skillful in Auto-CAD, good in using Unigraphics,Pro-E, etc;.

• Good communication and co-ordination ability.

• Good team spirit.

• Can work under high pressure.

• Travel Frequency: 10-30%

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
